Work continues on the Slient Option. Our CSY44 Walk over
Progress has been painfully slow over the last year and a half but we did finally do a few days of sailing this summer.
Thanks to some help from a friend, Josh Johnson we were able to get underway and test our new book arrangement and test a spinnaker that Josh had available.
Since arriving in Virginia repairs and additions include.
-Davit arch The arch was constructed of 1.5 inch stainless to hold our 10 foot avon and provide mounting for antennas and solar panels.
-Swim platform The entire family loves to swim and scuba dive so we knew we would need a large swim platform. The frame is 1.5 inch stainless and appears to be perfect so far.
-Replaced plastic portlights in aft cabin with brass ports from New Found Metal.
-Rewired the entire boat and replaced every electrical fitting.
-Repaired rubrail destroyed during Katrina.
-Replaced every plumbing related part in the boat.
-Removed 30 year old holding tanks. My favorite part of the job as you might imagine.
